Baillie Haylage - Traditional Parkland Meadow (Collection ONLY)

Baillie Haylage Traditional Parkland Meadow

Medium to Low Energy Haylage

(Collection Only from our shop at 26 Westlode Street, Spalding, PE11 2AF)

Baillie Traditional Parkland Meadow Haylage differs from other Baillie Haylage varieties as it is made from a mixture of long-established grasses and as such replicates a forage typical of yester year.

Like the High Fibre and Meadow Grass, it is lower in sugar and energy (calories) compared to the Ryegrass and Ryegrass & Timothy varieties.

Softer than the High Fibre, but with more stem than the Meadow Grass, this variety is a popular choice for the pickiest of eaters.

Horses and ponies like to graze on the product, which has a distinctive herby smell and a very high dry matter content, by selecting the different types of grasses as they go - making it great for keeping haynets interesting!

Cut when the seed heads are fully developed, Baillie Haylage Traditional Parkland Meadow is suitable for all types of horses and ponies, including:

  • good doers
  • older horses
  • convalescents
  • natives
  • horses and ponies in light work or at rest
  • some laminitics

Made from well-established Lincolnshire parkland with natural grasses including: tall fescue, meadow fescue, timothy and perennial ryegrasses. Softer than the High Fibre but with more stem than the Meadow Grass.
