Hard Rubber Pelham Bit, complete with curb chain.
The hard rubber pelham is a fairly strong bit that combines tongue, bar and poll pressure. The hard rubber provides a safe alternative to metal bits, that some horses will prefer, as it is softer.
The pelham can be used with two reins, which gives more accuracy in the aid, or for less experienced riders it can alternatively be used with one rein, attached to both rings via pelham roundings.
The curb chain is essential to the action of the pelham bit, and is included. The bit also features lip strap rings to attach a lip strap - this is not essential but is more correct for the show ring.
